📈 Opens chart

In a continued effort to surface additional useful data for you—we have introduced a new chart within the Analytics tab of each post. The chart provides an overview of exactly when unique opens occur for your campaigns in the subsequent 48 hours after your send time.

You can hover over any data point and see both the timestamp and number of opens that accrued within that given hour.

💳 Default premium offers

Back in March we launched offers & free trials for premium subscriptions, which allows you to create discounts and trials to incentivize your free readers to upgrade to premium.

While it's certainly helpful to promote these offers within your newsletter or on social media—you may, for example, want to have a default 7 day trial for everyone who hits your upgrade page.

When creating premium offers in your settings here you can select in the Advanced Options to have any given offer be set as the default "always on" offer of choice.

Note: to launch a premium newsletter and utilize our suite of monetization tools, you need to be on a paid plan. beehiiv takes 0% of your subscription revenue. Learn more about our paid plans here.

🗺 Location segmentation

In December we launched advanced location insights, and today we're launching the ability to tap into these insights via segmentation.

This unlocks the ability to send targeted email blasts to a subset of your subscribers based on their location. Whether you're planning to host an IRL event, or perhaps you have location-specific news to deliver, the possibilities are endless :).

🔎 Segmentation search

A simple and utilitarian update—we have added a search function to segmentation so you can easily search and confirm the presence of a subscriber within any given segment, without needing to export.

💡 Shadow options

When launching the website updates a few months ago, we made a bold assumption that a slight shadow behind your logo would look great. And while I personally think it looks pretty good, turns out it's not for everyone 😅.

You can now update the drop-shadow behind your logo in your website settings here.
