User Roles

As newsletters on beehiiv have expanded, so have their teams. We’re excited to introduce new user roles and permissions, allowing you to give your team the access they need while maintaining full control over security.

There are now 3 user roles to choose from:

• Admin: Full access to all features, settings, and data across the publication, allowing complete control over every aspect.

• Member: Broad access to features and most settings, with restrictions on sensitive areas like data export, domains, billing, payment accounts, API, and imports. This protects your data while allowing most members to continue their usual workflows uninterrupted.

• Contributor (New ✨): This role is dedicated to content creation, with access limited to the post editor and automations. It’s ideal for freelance writers or content creators who don’t need access to data or settings.

This updated structure lets you add partners, teammates, and freelancers to your workspace confidently. With proper permissions in place, you can expand your team without concerns about data privacy, settings, or security.

To get started, go to your Team Settings, and click Invite New User to add someone to your workspace. Enter their email, select the desired user role, and they’ll receive an invitation in their inbox.

As an Admin you can always edit, update, or remove the permissions and access of existing teammates directly from your Team Settings.

Subscriber Engagement Table

Ever wondered if certain subscribers — like friends, coworkers, or family — opened your latest newsletter?

The new Subscriber Engagement Table lets you easily search for specific emails and filter by actions such as opens, clicks, and unsubscribes.

It’s a quick, detailed way to track real-time engagement for each post.

Partner Program Tiers

We’re introducing the BIGGEST change to the Partner Program yet 🤯 — our new Tier system. Earn higher commissions and unlock exclusive perks as you grow.
