Introducing: the Boosts Recommendation Widget
Plus other dynamic and powerful integrations...
We believe open platforms are superior.
If you utilize any third-party platforms or integrations, you can unlock the full potential of our powerful suite of features as they are now more accessible and dynamic than ever.
With today’s updates, more people than ever before can tap into our Boosts ecosystem, robust automation suite… or any other feature really.

👩🏾💻 New Make Integrations
Let’s dive in.
Boosts Recommendations Widget
Historically, only users who used beehiiv-hosted websites could tap into the Boosts ecosystem. When readers subscribed, the Boosts recommendation modal would automatically pop up and allow new readers to opt into additional newsletters.
Launching today — the Boosts Recommendations Widget, which allows newsletters hosted on any website to embed the Boosts popup widget 🤯.
Recommendations widget
And the integration is dead simple — no APIs, no custom code, nada.
There are 3 simple triggers you can choose from to initiate the popup widget on your website:
Email submission via Subscribe Form
On page load
Manual
Pro Tip: After the widget is shown, you can choose to have it simply close, or add a custom redirect path.
Email submission via beehiiv Subscribe Form
Who is this best for? Users who are already embedding the beehiiv Subscribe Forms on an external website to collect emails.
How do I set it up?
Go to the Widgets settings in your account
Select Email Submission via Subscribe Form as the trigger
Copy and paste the code snippet into the <head> of your website

On page load
Who is this best for? Users who are utilizing a custom email form on their website and are automatically redirecting readers to a new page (i.e. thank you page) after subscribing.
How do I set it up?
Go to the Widgets settings in your account
Select On page load as the trigger
Specify the URL of the page you’d like the widget to appear
Copy and paste the code snippet into the <head> of your website

Manual
Who is this best for? Users who are utilizing a custom email form on their website and want complete control over when to trigger the popup widget.
How do I set it up?
Go to the Widgets settings in your account
Select Manual as the trigger
Copy and paste the code snippet (from step 1) into the <head> of your website
Copy and paste the code snippet (from step 2) to evoke that function when you want the widget to appear
Ideally this should be after the reader’s email is submitted on your website

Automations via API
Building effective automations is a cheat code to drive reader engagement, build custom journeys, and maintain a quality list.
Today we’re launching another automation trigger — Add by API.
Reminder: A trigger represents the type of action you or a subscriber takes to enroll them into an automation.
Adding API Trigger
With the Add by API trigger, you can enroll subscribers into an automation simply by making an API call. This can be remarkably powerful if you’re leveraging a third-party platform in addition to beehiiv.
For example: If a user performs a specific action on your platform or website and you want to send them an automated email. Actions could include…
Making a purchase on your site
Attending a webinar
Submitted a lead magnet
Pro Tip: Each automation can have multiple triggers (i.e. multiple ways for subscribers to enter). So you can add the Add by API trigger to an existing automation that already has other triggers.
You can visit our API documentation here to learn more.
Note: Automations are only available to users on the Scale and Enterprise plans. You can learn more and/or upgrade here.
New Make Integrations
Make is a powerful platform that allows users to create tasks and workflows to sync, automate, and connect different apps together.
We just added nearly two dozen new Make integration options, so you can more seamlessly connect beehiiv with any platform on the web.
Make <> beehiiv Integrations
The possibilities are literally endless, but to help get your gears turning a bit here’s a quick list of examples…
Slack notifications when subscribers signup, upgrade, or downgrade
Adding subscribers to a private Discord or Circle when they pay and upgrade to your premium newsletter
Syncing contacts across CRMs like Hubspot and Salesforce
Creating new web posts on Webflow or Wordpress when you publish and send a newsletter
Updating tables in Google Sheets or Airtable when a subscriber signs up to your newsletter
Pro Tip: More technical users can accomplish similar functionality without Make by leveraging our API and Webhooks features.
Note: API Access is only available to users on our paid plans. You can learn more and/or upgrade here.
beehiiv Partner Program
Perhaps you’re already familiar with the beehiiv Partner Program — it’s one of the most generous partner programs on the internet.
You receive 50% of all referred revenue for 12 months.
Translation: Just a handful of sign-ups through your partner link could net you over $10,000 annually.
And as of today we just made your job a little easier. Those who use your link will receive a sweet deal — 20% OFF for 3 months.
By the way, each quarter we send our top partner on an all-expenses-paid beach vacation for two (this quarter it’s Maui). It’s part of our beehiiv Beach Club, and the leaderboard for Q1 is ready for someone to claim the top spot.
