Improved marketplace
ICYMI โ newsletters on beehiiv can browse and activate Boosts in just a few clicks. Boosts pay between $1.00 - $5.00 for every verified subscriber you refer. Itโs totally hands off, on auto-pilot, and the easiest money youโll ever make. Learn more here.
Since launching Boosts less than 2 weeks ago, we now have over 200 amazing offers in the marketplace.
We have since launched a ton of updates to the marketplace so you can easily find the best and most relevant offers for you:
Filters that allow you to search by payout amount and content category
Sort by featured, payout amount, and recency
Content categories are now displayed on every offer
New and improved search functionality includes all newsletter metadata
We plan to roll out a few additional updates here to further optimize the marketplace and help you drive new revenue.
Enhanced applications
For users looking to grow their newsletter via Boosts, we have entirely revamped the application process to ensure you are making informed decisions about who youโre allowing to recommend your publication.
Each newsletter that applies to your Boost must now provide a reason as to why they believe theyโre a good fit. In addition, youโll be shown a chart that provides a simplified overview of their relative:
size
engagement
growth rate
Better, transparent and trusted data = better, higher quality results.
Newsletters using Boosts have collectively already grown by over 20,000 subscribers in just the past week and a half.
Note: Boosts are only available to users on our Scale plan. To upgrade or learn more about what our best plans offer, click here.
By the way โ beehiiv automatically validates all subscribers who signup via Boosts during a 10 to 17 day verification process prior to charging users (and inversely prior to paying out users). This is to the benefit of everyone to prevent abuse, spam, and other malicious acts. You can read more in our FAQ here.
โ๏ธ Automation step conditions
You can now add distinct conditions to any individual step in your automated journey.
The automation will ensure only subscribers who match the criteria outlined in the conditions will be sent the email associated with that step.
For example, if you wanted to encourage readers to upgrade and pay for your premium newsletter, you could enroll free readers into a simple automated journey. For each step, youโd specify that only readers on the free tier should receive the following email (excluding anyone who has since upgraded).
We will continue to add additional filter options and parameters over the next several weeks.
Note: Automations are only available to users on our Scale plan. To upgrade or learn more about what our best plans offer, click here.
๐๏ธ Paywalled pages
ICYMI โ you can create custom webpages on your beehiiv site without any code. You can then add these pages to your navbar as standalone items, or as a dropdown.
And as of today, those of you with a premium newsletter (i.e. paying subscribers) can now paywall webpages so only paying readers have access.
Just head to Settings โ Website โ Navbar to create custom webpages, and then toggle the Premium? setting on, shown in the picture above.
We handle all user authentication on your behalf to ensure only paying users will have access to these pages.
๐ซฃ Hide posts
You can now hide posts from your feed, so only people with a direct link or URL can access the web version of your content.
๐๏ธ Publication addresses
If you are a publisher with multiple newsletters, you can now set your address on a per newsletter basis. This has been requested by dozens of larger organization who have several newsletters HQโed in different locations.
Just visit Settings โ Publication and update your address there.
If you donโt set an address on your publication, it will default back to the address of your organization.
