More customization, more data, more control

Building the tools to give you complete control of your newsletter

Hey beehiiv crew!

We have some incredibly ~hype~ new features set to launch next week...but in the meantime, here's a roundup of some awesome enhancements we've made lately.

πŸ’Έ Paid subscription optionality πŸ“Š Segmentation enhancements✍🏽 Editor updatesπŸ›  Subscriber management

πŸ’Έ Paid subscription optionality

Rather than requiring all paid newsletters to have both monthly and annual subscription options, we've introduced the ability to toggle on/off either option.

This gives you more control over what options you provide your readers. And thus, what they see when deciding to upgrade to a premium tier.

Reminder: you keep 100% of your subscription revenue (after Stripe fees). Paid newsletters are only available to users on our Grow plan. Learn more and upgrade to Grow here.

πŸ“Š Segmentation enhancements

Additional metadata

In a continued effort to provide you more comprehensive and actionable data about your audience, we've introduced referral and premium upgrade data when displaying your segments.

Duplicating segments

To avoid having to continuously rebuild similar segments, we've introduced the ability to duplicate any segment with a single click.

ICYMI: we launched the ability to send email blasts to segments last week. Learn more here.

✍🏽 Editor updates

Keyboard shortcuts

  • You can now create a list by starting a new line with - + Space

  • You can also create an emdash (β€”) by hitting - + -

Improved modals

When hyperlinking text, editing a button, or editing image metadata or hyperlinks, we've considerably improved the popup modals.

Each modal now includes:

  • Prefixed https for hyperlinks to ensure no broken links

  • A wider form field to enhance ease of use and readability

  • Left/right arrow support to more granularly edit the input

  • A Save and Clear option to more intuitively confirm your input

πŸ›  Subscriber management

Update subscriber emails

When scaling your newsletter, it's not uncommon to receive requests from readers to update some information on their behalf. We'll continue to invest in tools to facilitate these requests without you needing additional support.

You can now easily update subscriber emails, which will also update their email in Stripe if you have a paid newsletter offering.

If you have any additional feedback about anything, please hit reply and let us know. All of these improvements featured above came from user feedback.
