Readers love to back their favorite writers and creators. That's why we're making it easier than ever for them to financially support your newsletter.

The all-new “Name Your Price” option for premium subscriptions allows readers to choose what they’re willing to pay to upgrade.

For paid newsletters… it’s yet another payment option you can provide readers. In total, you can now offer multiple subscription plans, consisting of varying prices and billing cadences:

• Monthly subscription

• Annual subscription

• One-time payment

• Name Your Price

For free newsletters… you could leverage this feature as a “tip jar” to encourage your super fans to pay and support your work.

As always, beehiiv takes a 0% cut of your subscription revenue — unlike the other options out there.

Premium Gifts for Referrals

Premium Subscriptions 🤝 Referral Program.

You can now incentivize readers to share your newsletter, and in return receive premium access. For example, you could offer readers a free month of your premium content for referring 3 new people to your newsletter.

The result → more readers, and a new premium subscriber who may convert into a paying subscriber.

First, create a Premium Gift in your Settings. These gifts are unique offers for your readers, like:

• 50% off

• 14-day free trial

• Free lifetime access

Second, within your Referral Program, create a new reward and select Premium Gift as the reward type. Then chose the specific offer.

It’s the perfect strategy for scaling your readership and subscription business at the same time.

Comment Threads

With the introduction of comment threads, readers can now reply to replies (and to replies of replies of replies, etc.).

Readers can now also view and sort comments by…

• Newest first

• Most popular
