Boost Your Newsletter Growth

With transparent, quality, subscriber acquisition.

I’ll let you in on a little secret: I launched my personal newsletter in January and now have over 70,000 active subscribers — nearly 25,000 of whom came from Boosts.

Boosts isn’t a quick fix for rapid growth, but by carefully partnering with the right newsletters, you can achieve high-quality, efficient subscriber growth.

Over the past several months, we’ve been hard at work revamping the Boosts ecosystem, and I’m thrilled to unveil these latest improvements today.

The new Boosts experience is designed to deliver greater transparency, smarter automation, and optimized spending.

Boosts Refresher

Let’s start with a quick refresher: Boosts is the simplest way to both grow and monetize your newsletter.

For those looking to grow…

Scaling your audience with engaged subscribers has never been easier. Here’s how it works:

  1. Create an offer with the price you’re willing to pay per new subscriber.

  2. Fund your wallet to activate the offer.

  3. Accept applications from publications that want to Boost your newsletter.

You only pay for qualified, engaged subscribers. And thanks to today’s updates, the entire process is now faster and much more efficient 💪 .

For those looking to monetize…

Browse the Boosts marketplace, where thousands of quality newsletters are willing to pay you a few dollars for every new subscriber you send their way.

Boosts Marketplace

You can promote their newsletter in one of three ways:

  • After a new reader subscribes to your newsletter.

  • Within your newsletter as an Email Boost.

  • Directly through a link (like an affiliate program).

Boosting other newsletters

Either way, you earn money when you drive new readers to subscribe to their newsletter.

Transparent Applications

Managing dozens (or even hundreds) of pending Boost applications used to be a challenge. That’s why we’re introducing a sleek new UI, advanced filtering, and bulk-action tools to make growing your Boosts network a breeze.

Transparent applications

What’s new:

  • Enhanced UI: Access clear, first-party data for each application, helping you quickly evaluate opportunities with confidence.

  • Advanced Filters: Search and filter applications based on specific criteria.

  • Bulk Actions: Accept or decline multiple applications simultaneously.

For example, let’s say my newsletter Big Desk Energy currently has 76 pending applications. Using the new tools, I can filter based on the following parameters:

  • English-language newsletters

  • U.S.-based subscribers

  • Open rates above 30%

  • Subscriber counts above 5,000

  • At least 25 published posts

Select all. Accept. Done .

On the flip side, I can quickly filter out newsletters with non-English audiences or open rates below 30% and auto-decline them in bulk.

The result? Only a handful of applications remain for manual review, saving me hours of time. 🚀

Auto-Accept Rules

To take this one step further, we also created Auto-Accept Rules.

Now, you can set rules based on your chosen filters, and beehiiv will automatically accept applications that meet your criteria — no manual action needed.

For example, let’s revisit the filter example from earlier. I could turn those parameters (e.g., English-language newsletters with >30% open rates and >5,000 subscribers) into a hard auto-accept rule. From that point on, any application meeting those requirements would be approved automatically.

This means I can continue growing my audience instantly, without lifting a finger — saving time, maximizing growth, and minimizing effort. 🙂

Auto-Pause Rules

We’ve also introduced Auto-Pause Rules to streamline campaign performance management.

Previously, you had to manually monitor and pause underperforming Boosts. With Auto-Pause, you can create rules that automatically stop campaigns when specific performance thresholds aren’t met.

For example, once a newsletter sends me 100 subscribers, if their aggregate open rate drops below 20%, my auto-pause rule will cancel that Boost and stop further spending with that partner.

This ensures every dollar you invest is going toward campaigns delivering real, quality, results.
